Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators work to relax muscle contractions that are associated with the formation of dynamic lines. It works by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles. Injected muscles can no longer contract to cause them to relax and causing the wrinkles to soften. Effects are temporary and generally last between three and four months, at which point wrinkles gradually reappear and can be retreated. With repeated treatments, lines and wrinkles may become less severe as the muscles become conditioned to relaxing.

Neuromodulators (like Dysport® or Botox®) relax muscles to reduce dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated facial movements, such as frown lines or crow’s feet. Dermal fillers restore volume, lift, and smooth static lines caused by aging or loss of facial fat and collagen. Together, they complement each other for a youthful, refreshed appearance.

Results vary by treatment:

  • Neuromodulators: noticeable improvements in 3–7 days, full effect in 2 weeks.
  • Dermal fillers: immediate volume and contour improvements, with subtle settling over 1–2 weeks.

Neuromodulators: 3–4 months on average. Repeated treatments may reduce wrinkle severity over time. Dermal fillers: 6–18 months, depending on the area treated and product used.
