Tips to Stay Healthy in the Winter Months

By November 24, 2022No Comments

We get it, this time of year can be overwhelming. It is not only the most wonderful time of year but also the germiest.

We know how much planning and preparation goes into the holiday season. From now until the holidays, you are likely trying to avoid all of the germs that are going around so you can celebrate with your loved ones. After the hustle and bustle of shopping, wrapping gifts, and attending parties and events—not to mention all the holiday treats—you might start feeling a little run down. You might be wondering what you can do to help yourself feel better and get through the rest of the holiday season. Here are some simple steps you can take that may help keep colds (and hangovers) at bay.

Stay Hydrated

Staying hydrated is key to keeping your body functioning optimally and avoiding any health complications. Dehydration can cause fatigue, an increased heart rate, and a decreased sex drive. In order to hydrate your body properly – drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially when you are out shopping or travelling around town. It is recommended to drink 0.5oz to 1oz of water per 1lb of body weight a day.

Hydromax IV Therapy by REVIV may also help your body to recover and rehydrate quickly. IV drips introduce fluids and essential elements directly into the body with 100% delivery of benefits straight to the target organs. While IV Infusions are not meant to be a substitute for oral intake, they serve as a supplement or alternative solution to quickly rehydrate and replenish nutrients, restoring the body to peak balance. Drinking large amounts of fluids can result in a sensation of bloating and fullness that does not happen with IV hydration.

Get enough sleep each night

Set a regular bedtime. Your body craves consistency, plus you’re more likely to get enough sleep if you schedule rest like your other important tasks. Make sure you’re getting at least 7 hours per night so that your body stays rested enough to fight off illness or infection.

Eat well

Make sure you’re eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. Eating a balanced diet will help boost your immune system so that it can fight off any harmful germs that might be trying to take over.

Be proactive

Be proactive about avoiding illness. Germs are passed on easily through our hands, which we often use in eating and touching surfaces around us (like doorknobs). Keep them clean by washing frequently with warm water and soap, avoiding crowds when possible, and supporting your immune system with REVIV. Not sure which IV is right for you?
